Folks,

I am off out to party in the newyear but thought I would post a link to a site I done up for making the kerfing jig or K-Sled that I posted a little while back.

I have replied to the 60 odd on the mailing list for this that, had I know it would take a site to give you the run down, I would have just authored it and posted the link. Never mind, I now have a list of 60 odd lutes that I can flog off to spammers for beer money

Just kidding, any how, if Lance or Brock want this in the Jigs Library, just let me know what to send and I will do so.

Anyhow, enjoy all of my OLF mates, sorry it has taken so long and please be kind, web pages are not my thing.
The K-Sled

Happy New Year, Peace Health and HIPPYNESS to the world.

Cheers

Kim

Kim,

Thanks for your time and trouble - and the e-mail.

Definitely on the 2007 to do list.

Happy New Year Dave White39082.4630439815

Bravo Kim. I've wanted to build one of these ever since I saw the Frank Ford clip. Thanks to you I now have a materials list and a good idea on how to go about it. Thanks for your efforts in making this available to everyone.

Kim,
Thanks for this information. It'll be my first jig to build in 2007. Kerfed wood strips aren't terribly expensive, but it still adds up. I'd rather save the money for good tonewood...

Thanks a bunch for that ksled knowhow,
>>> and not just for this, but for all the people who post these tutorials for making little luthiery related things ..... while they may seem elementary to you, they really help out someone like me, who intends to make as many of the individual pieces of his first few guitars as possible, in order to refresh/bone up onthe ole woodworking skills.
Cheers

Your most welcome all,

I'm just glad you like the site, it is nice to finally give a little back. I have gotten so much good from here and other forums over the last year and a half and was beginning to feel like a bit of a leach. Anyhow, maybe Daniel will tune in with an image for us of his anti-backfeed set-up.

I am looking forward to seeing others efforts, so if any of you guys do end up build a K-Sled, make sure you post an image and review for us to look at. Especially if you come up with any cool alterations.

Brock, can you get what you need to host this at the OLF from the site, or do you need me to email some stuff? Sorry, not too savvy on this stuff.

Cheers All

Kim

Thanks Kim,
I am looking to build something similar and will certainly follow some of your ideas for this jig.

Just bump'in this cause some on the mailing list who asked for the info had their spam blocker on and did not receive the email I sent out with the link. I don't want them thinking that I did not follow up.

Cheers

Kim
